Miral Heights Trail is a recreation path exploring the mountain ridge high above the community of Trail BC in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The hiking and mountain biking trail provides views overlooking West Trail and the Columbia River.

The Miral Heights Trail is another hiking route exploring along a high mountain ridge behind the local hospital in the community. It is one of many hikes in the community which leads hikers to a viewpoint where some locals have placed a Canadian Flag. A flag that can be seen from the community.

The Miral Heights Trail leads hikers to the same Canadian Flag as the one on the McQuarrie Creek Trail . Both trails connect to each other. However, the Miral Heights Trail is considered an easier route, with less elevation hiking, than the McQuarrie Creek Trail.

The Miral Heights Trail starts from a subdivision of the same name. The hiking trail leads uphill to a sand pit like area and some views of mountain ranges and of the subdivision below. The hiking trail continues past rock bluffs, through forests of trees to a summit and the flag. There are areas along the trail with exposed tree roots, boulders and rocks. Watch your footing.

The Miral Heights Trail reaches a junction at one point. A left leads hikers along the McQuarrie Creek Trail back down to the local hospital area. Continue straight along the ridge leads hikers to the Canadian Flag, a water tower and some more views. On a clear day hikers can see Warfield and Rossland.

How to Get to the Miral Heights Trail

Travel to the community of Trail, BC. Follow the main highway in town to McBride Street which leads up to the Miral Heights subdivision. Turn onto McBride. From McBride turn right onto Albert Drive. The trailhead is at the end of Albert Drive where there is a small cul-de-sac for parking.
