Columbia
Basin Wetlands is a large
protected wilderness and wildlife habitat following the Columbia
River. The wetlands is a popular nesting and feeding destination
for many bird species and is ideal for wildlife viewing opportunities.

Kootenay
National Park is a year round
recreation destination situated on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains
and on the Continental Divide surrounded by mountain peaks, alpine
glaciers, roaring rivers and meadows of grasslands. [ more

Radium
Hot Springs are considered
the largest hot spring pools in Canada. The spring waters are
captured in two giant wading pools. The larger pool is at 39
degrees celsius (103 F) and the smaller pool is around 27 degrees

Juniper
Trail is a short hiking trail
exploring a canyon and forests high above Sinclair Creek in the
Kootenay National Park. The one way hiking trail is 3.2 km long.
The entire route is a visual tour exploring along Sinclair Canyon.

Kimpton
Creek Trail proceeds along
the eastern banks of Kimpton Creek for approximately 5.4 km. The
entire trail covers just over 7 kilometres and should take no

Kindersley
Pass Trail is a 10 km one-way
trail exploring second growth trees, meadows, avalanche chutes,
alpine tree lines and the Kindersley-Sinclair Summit. The entire

Olive Lake is a quiet spot in the mountains settled around an alpine lake
near the Sinclair Pass Summit. There are pit toilets (one wheelchair
accessible), picnic tables, hiking trail and a picnic shelter

Redstreak
Trail is a 2.3 kilometre hiking
route exploring lush forests, mountains and river eco systems.
Once in the trees, the trail follows the banks of Redstreak Creek
to the base of Redstreak Mountain. [ more

| Bugaboo
Provincial Park is located in
the Purcell Mountains west of the village of Radium Hot Springs.
The 13,646 hectare remote wilderness park is a popular destination
for mountaineering and alpine climbing with glaciers, ice fields
and peaks reaching over 3000 ft. |
