Nakusp, BC is a lakefront community located on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake in the Nakusp Mountain Range of the Selkirk Mountains in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The community is well known for its hot springs and lake activities.

The community of Nakusp is situated in a mountain valley at an elevation of 443 metres (1476 feet) above sea level. The small village on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake provides many of the services important for travelers including accommodations, campgrounds, gas, restaurants, pub, bank, grocery store, post office, tour operators and internet availability.

Nakusp enjoys year round recreation. The most popular year round recreation destinations in the area are the two natural hot springs. The Nakusp Hot Springs are located in a forest valley just outside of town and the Halcyon Hot Springs are located further north on Hwy 23 on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake.

During the summer season some of the activities enjoyed in the area include hiking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, mountain biking, ATVing, dirt biking, boating, canoeing, swimming, picnicking, sightseeing, kayaking and camping.

In the village, on the shores of the Upper Arrow Lake, is a very popular paved recreation path lined with gardens, benches and sightseeing gazebos called the Waterfront Walkway. For the more extreme explorer, there is a wilderness forest hiking trail called the Kuskanax Hotsprings Trail.

During the winter months some of the activities enjoyed include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, heli-skiing and cat skiing. In Revelstoke, BC, not far away, is a ski resort located on Mt. Mackenzie . Here you can enjoy days of downhill skiing and snowboarding.
