village situated in the Rocky Mountain Trench located in between
the Purcell and Rocky Mountain Ranges in the southeastern section

The community of Kimberley is part of the Kootenay
region of British Columbia, Canada. It is a region well known for its mountains, glaciers,

second highest community in Canada with an elevation of 1,110
metres (3663 ft) above sea level. The high elevation mountain environment is

in the backcountry of Kimberley include cross country skiing,
ice skating, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing,
ice fishing and dog sledding.
Northstar Mountain is home to the Kimberley Alpine Resort which is a popular adventure destination in the area during winter for skiing and snowboarding... and mountain biking and hiking during the summer sunshine months.
Other popular sightseeing and adventure trails for mountain biking and hiking are the Kimberley
Nature Park and the Mark Creek Nature Trail. The Mark Creek Trail connects the community of Kimberley with the village of Marysville. It is in Marysville where many enjoy the Marysville
Falls.

" The Platzl" is pedestrian only. No vehicles. There are stores, shops, boutiques, flower gardens and a a large cuckoo clock - the largest in in Canada. It is because of the german architecture and the beautiful mountain setting
that Kimberley is named the "Bavarian City of the Rockies".
