BC is an agricultural and farming community in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The small community is situated in a fertile valley wedged in between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains.
The Creston Valley landscape consists of, mainly, looming mountains, lush wetlands, low lying marshes, rumbling rivers, flat farming fields and trickling creeks. The farming community in the region is very active in agri-tourism. Some farmers also operate farm tours, u-pick orchards and participate in farmers markets.

Every visitor to the community of Creston should spend some quality time exploring the Creston Wildlife Management Area. It includes 6,880 hectares of wetlands, marshes and recreation trails. There are over 30 kilometres of hiking trails with birdwatching lookout towers and sitting benches.
Millennium Park is one of the most colorful parks to visit in Creston because of the water fountains, the blooming flowers and the trees located in the Japanese Gardens. A special garden donated by the sister city of Creston, Kaminoho.
Travel north of the community of Creston on Highway #3 to the 100 kilometre long Kootenay Lake. It is a big part of summer fun in the region. Many arrive at the lake to go swimming, boating, water skiing, sailing, wind surfing and camping. |
