How To Get To Castlegar By Vehicle:

Vancouver, B.C., Canada: From Vancouver, BC travel along Hwy #1 to the highway junction in the community of Hope, B.C. At the highway junction there are three highway routes leading into the interior of BC. Hwy #3, Hwy #97 and Hwy #5. Our preferred route is Highway #3 traveling east from Hope to Osoyoos to Castlegar.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada: Travel Hwy #1 Hwy west to Banff National Park and then continue to the provincial border of British Columbia. Continue driving west on Hwy #1 to the community of Golden, BC. In Golden travel Highway #93/#95 south to Cranbrook, BC. From Cranbrook travel south on Hwy #3/#95 to Creston. From Creston travel north on Highway #3a to the Kootenay Bay - Balfour river ferry. From Balfour travel south west on Highway #3a to Nelson. Continue south on Hwy #3a to Castlegar.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada: Travel Hwy #16 from Alberta to Jasper National Park and Mt. Robson Provincial Park. Continue driving the mountain highway to the junction of Hwy #1 and Hwy #16. Take Hwy #16 south through the Banff National Park. At Lake Louise head west on Highway #1 to Golden. In Golden travel Highway #93/95 south to Cranbrook, BC. From Cranbrook travel south on Hwy #3/#95 to Creston. From Creston travel north on Highway #3a to the Kootenay Bay - Balfour river ferry. From Balfour travel south west on Highway #3a to Nelson. Continue south on Hwy #3a to Castlegar.

Spokane Washington, U.S.A.: From Spokane, Washington travel Highway #90 east to Dalton Gardens, Idaho. From Dalton continue north on Highway #95 to Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry and then to the Canada/USA Border. Cross the border and drive towards Creston, BC, Canada.
